Editorial Policy

Purpose
This site publishes explanatory content about Postal Life Insurance (PLI) and Rural Postal Life Insurance (RPLI) — plan summaries, premium calculators, blog articles, FAQs and city-level advisor guides. Our editorial goal is to help Indian families make informed insurance decisions, not to sell a specific plan.
Sources
Our content is drawn from these public, verifiable sources, in order of priority:
- Official India Post PLI/RPLI portal (indiapost.gov.in) and Department of Posts circulars.
- PLI/RPLI premium tables, bonus notifications and prospectus documents published by the DoP each financial year.
- Income Tax Act, 1961 (Sections 80C and 10(10D)) and the annual Union Budget speech / Finance Act.
- The Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, the Consumer Protection Act, 2019, and other applicable statutes.
- Practitioner experience from our certified advisor network.
Writing & review
- Draft copy is written by our internal editorial team using the sources listed above.
- Every article covering premium, bonus, tax or eligibility rules is reviewed by a senior advisor from our network before publish.
- Legal and disclaimer pages are reviewed by qualified counsel before going live in production.
- We date-stamp every article and note the reviewer where appropriate.
Accuracy & freshness
PLI bonus rates and premium tables can change each financial year. We revisit product hub pages, the premium calculator and related blog articles within 60 days of any material Department of Posts notification and update the “Last updated” date on the affected page. If you spot a figure that no longer matches the current official prospectus, please tell us — we will investigate and correct it publicly.
What we will not do
- We will not publish paid or sponsored content disguised as editorial.
- We will not compare PLI/RPLI with a specific private insurer in a way that misrepresents either side. Comparisons cite public prospectus material and note the date.
- We will not promise a specific investment return, bonus rate or claim outcome.
- We will not scrape or republish content owned by third parties without permission and attribution.
Corrections policy
Factual errors are corrected as soon as they are verified. Minor typos are fixed silently. Substantive corrections (numbers, eligibility rules, statutory references) are marked with a visible “Correction: …” note at the top of the article, and the “Last updated” date is refreshed.
Independence & disclosures
We are an independent advisor network. Our advisors earn a commission from the Department of Posts on policies they help onboard, in line with the standard DoP incentive structure. We disclose this commercial relationship transparently here and in our IRDAI & DoP disclaimer.
User-generated content
Testimonials shown on the site are from real customers of our advisor network, published with their consent. Names may be shortened or blurred at the customer’s request. We do not fabricate quotes or ratings.
AI-assisted writing
Some drafts are prepared with the help of large-language-model tools to improve structure and readability. Every AI-assisted draft is fact-checked line-by-line against the official sources above before publish. We do not publish AI-generated fake statistics, quotes or case studies.
